WELLMANN INSURANCE ACQUIRES SIEGELER INSURANCE OF GIDDINGS

A Brenham-based insurance agency has acquired an insurance agency in Giddings.
Wellmann Insurance Agency announced in a joint press release Wednesday a merger with Siegeler Insurance Agency.
Wellmann Insurance President David Wellmann and Siegeler Insurance President Mike Siegeler have been partners in Combined Agents of America, a managing general agency in Austin.
The agencies say they will both maintain their independent offices, and there will not be any impact to clients.
Wellmann Insurance was formed in Brenham by David Wellmann in 1992 with the merger of Ehlert Insurance and Lange & Associates Insurance. The agency also has offices in Bryan/College Station and Sugar Land.
Siegeler Insurance was started in 1967 by Jim and Ollie Siegeler, then continued by Mike Siegeler when he returned from the Air Force in 1979. In addition to its location in Giddings, the agency has an office in Port O’Connor.
