BRENHAM CUBS DEFEATED COLLEGE STATION 57-44

The Brenham Cub Basketball Team played one of their best games of the season last (Tuesday) night as they upset the College Station Cougars 57-44 at the Brenham High School Gym.

The Cubs jumped out to an early 20-12 lead in the first quarter. College Station outscored Brenham 14-13 in the second quarter, but the Cubs still lead 33-26 at the half.

Contrary to other games this year, Brenham had a big third quarter as they outscored the Cougars 19-15.

The fourth quarter actually ended up being most quiet period of the night, as the Cubs won that one also, 5-3.

Jamey Rogers was the leading scorer for Brenham with 13 points. Kaden Watts added 12 points. Delvin Gantt came off the bench with 10 points, including three clutch 3-pointers in the second half. Josiah Ferguson had seven points in the first half.

The win improves the Cubs to 11-20 overall and 3-9 in district. Next up, they will travel to Jordan on Friday night.
