HOUSE FIRE IN FAYETTE COUNTY

  

A house fire was reported to the Fayette County dispatch early Tuesday morning.

Fayette County Sheriff Keith Korenek reports that Tuesday at 7:05 AM, dispatchers received a 911 call that a home was on fire on North Rusk Street in Fayetteville.  The Fayetteville Fire Department was notified and found heavy smoke coming from the one story home when they arrived.  The occupant of the home was able to get out and the Fire Department extinguished the blaze.  The cause of the fire is undetermined at this time but is believed to be lightning that was reported in the area at the time of the fire.
