ZYTHOLOGICAL SOCIETY TO HOST ‘BIERVERKOSTUNG’ BEER TASTING AT MAIFEST
The Texas Chapter of the Zythological Society of North America is getting set to host the 2022 Bierverkostung at the Brenham Maifest.
The craft beer tasting event, entering its sixth year, will be held Saturday, May 7th from 2 to 6 p.m., under cover, at Fireman’s Park.
Breweries featured at Bierverkostung will include St. Arnolds Brewing from Houston, Brazos Valley Brewery from Brenham, Huff Brewing from Bellville, Equal Parts Brewing from Houston, NOLA Brewing from New Orleans, Karbach Brewing from Houston, Galveston Brewery from Galveston and Pinthouse Brewing from Austin.
The craft beer tasting will be $20 per person, which will include 20 tastings. Tickets can be purchased at the event or online at www.zythological.com.
The annual Meister von Bier homebrew competition, part of the Zythological Society’s annual Brews Over Texas series, will also be held on May 7th beginning at 1 p.m., with a noon turn-in time. At the end of the contest, the Brews Over Texas Grand Champion will be announced.
Entry fee is $10 for the first beer and $5 for each additional beer.
Other activities during the Maifest will include live German music, food vendors, a carnival, a parade, and the coronations of Junior and Senior Maifest royalty.
