Nearly 50 Chappell Hill Chamber of Commerce members attended the Chamber’s inaugural “Coffee Chat” Thursday morning at the Hubert Masonic Lodge in downtown Chappell Hill.

State Senator Lois Kolkhorst provided a legislative recap on key issues ranging from healthcare, broadband and property taxes to tourism and border safety.

Kolkhorst also gave insight on recent committee hearings relating to child protective services and work being done on the budget for the next state biennium.

Chamber President Joel Romo said the information shared by Kolkhorst was greatly appreciated, and that Chamber members look forward to working on the issues that were shared during the event.

The next Coffee Chat will be held on June 9th, featuring the Blinn College Small Business Development Center.

All Coffee Chats are open to the public.
