WASHINGTON COUNTY COMMISSIONERS TO MEET ON TUESDAY

The Washington County Commissioners will have several items on their agenda for their next special session on Tuesday morning.

The Commissioners are scheduled to approve a Proclamation designating May 23-May 27 as Flood Awareness Week.

They will be discussing the appointment of Dr. Mike Schlabach to the Historical Commission for a term that will end on December 31.

The Washington County Sheriff’s Office has put in a request for proposals for security cameras. That item is also being taken up by the Commissioners.

Another item concerns a notice received from the Bluebonnet Electric Cooperative for an overhead power line in the Rolling Creek Subdivision on Rolling Creek Road in Precinct Four.

In addition to that, the Commissioners are expected to approve a position description for a Construction Supervisor for the Washington County Engineering and Development Services Department.

Several county departments will also be submitting their monthly reports.

The Washington County Commissioners meet Tuesday at 9am in their Chambers at the Washington County Courthouse.
