FIREARM STOLEN IN BURGLARY

  

A guest at a Brenham hotel is reporting the theft of a handgun and a laptop computer after someone had burglarized his pickup truck.

The man reported to police his F-350 pickup was broken into while parked at the Hampton Inn and Suites at 2605 Schulte.  He discovered the burglary when he came out to the truck at about 6:30 Thursday morning.  The truck had been rummaged through and a number of items were stolen, a $3000 laptop computer and a Derringer style handgun and an expensive attaché case.  Police are investigating.
