The Burton Bridge Ministry, Burton ISD and Washington County EMS are partnering to hold a health and wellness fair.
The free event, taking place on Thursday, August 4th from 8 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. at Burton High School, will feature almost two dozen organizations with interactive exhibits and resources on physical and mental health.
Visitors can find information about social security, infant nutrition, support for migrant children, area transportation, food pantries, cancer screening and means to assist with domestic violence.
School immunizations will be provided for children in grades K-7. They will be available for those who are uninsured, on Medicaid or whose primary insurance does not cover vaccines. Families are asked to bring their shot records and check with their child’s school for a list of needed immunizations.
The come-and-go event is free to the community. Water and snacks will be provided. Spanish-speaking volunteers will be on site.
