CUBETTES CONTINUE PLAYOFF RUN WITH AREA ROUND AGAINST EAST VIEW

The Brenham Cubette Volleyball Team continues their march to the state tournament this (Thursday) evening against Georgetown East View in the Area Round of the playoffs.

Brenham, who are the District 21-5A Champions, are 34-12 overall, and were 13-1 in district. They are coming off of a Bi-District victory over Killeen Chaparral this past Tuesday.  The Cubettes won the sets 25-15, 25-11, and 25-13.

Brenham is currently on a nine match winning streak.  They have won 19 of their last 21 matches.

The Georgetown East View Lady Patriots are the third place team from District 23-5A. Their record is 26-11 overall, and they finished third in their district with an 11-3 record. Their district was won by Pflugerville Hendrickson (13-1), followed by Georgetown High School (12-2).

East View is coming off of a 3-1 victory over the Ann Richards School for Young Women Leaders on Tuesday.  The Lady Patriots won the first set 25-17, lost the second set 25-23, but then took the last two sets 25-14 and 25-14.

The Brenham-East View volleyball match gets underway tonight (Thursday) at 6:30pm at Giddings High School. KWHI will have live coverage beginning with the pregame at 6pm on 1280AM, 101.7, and the KWHI.com, main feed.
