BRENHAM CUBETTES FALL TO LAKE CREEK 48-41

The Brenham Cubettes lost to district front-runner Lake Creek 48-41 last (Tuesday) night. 

Lake Creek had just a narrow 10-8 lead after the first quarter. The Lions also won the second quarter 12-9 and were up 22-17 at halftime.

The third quarter was close, but Lake Creek won one that as well 12-10, which increased the lead to 34-27 going into the fourth quarter.

During the fourth quarter, both teams played to a 14-14 stalemate.

Arianah Lewis led the Cubettes with 12 points. Ka'Mya Stringfellow and Antiyanah Lang added nine points each.

The loss dropped Brenham to 11-10 overall and 2-2 in district. 

The Cubettes will return home to face Montgomery on Friday night at 6:30pm.  That game can be heard live right here on KWHI beginning with the pregame at 6:15pm.
