SCHEEL REACHES 1,000 POINTS AS CUBETTES BEAT RUDDER

After suffering a tough loss to A&M Consolidated this past Friday, the Brenham Cubette Basketball Team bounced back to get a big 51-48 district victory over Bryan Rudder on the road last (Tuesday) night.

It was a milestone night for junior guard Halle Scheel, who scored her 1,000th career point as a Cubette. Scheel, who is a three year starter on the varsity, finished the game with 13 points, 4 rebounds, and 4 assists.

Freshman forward Antyiahna Lang had a big night as well with 14 points and 20 rebounds.

Brenham improves to 5-5 in district play. Next up, the Cubettes will host Lake Creek on Friday night at 6:30pm at the Brenham High School Gym. KWHI will have live coverage beginning with the pregame at 6:15pm.
