AREA PLAYERS MAKE THE PADILLA POLL ALL STATE TEAM
The Padilla Poll has released their All-State Teams for Texas High School Football. The Burton Panthers are well represented on the Class 2A Division II team.
Previously announced were RB Tyrone Gilmon as the Offensive Player of the Year and Jason Hodde as the Coach of the Year.
The rest of the team has Gilmon also making the 1st Team as a Defensive Lineman. Other Panthers making the Padilla Poll All State Team are Tanner Gore as a 1st Team return specialist, Pierson Spies on the 1st Team as a linebacker, Delvin Gantt as a 1st team Defensive Back, and Defensive Lineman Jeremiah Hudgen as a 2nd team Defensive Lineman.
The Snook Blue Jays were represented by RB Lance Lara on the 2nd Team Offense and LB Garrett Hyvl on the 2nd Team Defense.
In Class 3A Division I, the Columbus Cardinals are represented on the First Team Offense by WR Jordan Woods and OL Hunter Mangum. Making the All State 2nd Team Offense were QB Adam Schobel, RB J.J. Hurd, and OL Jaylen Ford.
Meanwhile, on the Class 4A Division II team, the Bellville Brahmas had three players recognized. OL Marcus Smith was named to the second team offense. Earning Second Team Defensive honors are DL D.J. Sanders and LB Connor Gaines.
For Class 4A Division I, LB Frankedric Powell made the 1st Team Defense.
In Class 5A Division I, A&M Consolidated DB Mo Foketi made the 1st Team Defense.
After another big season, College Station was well represented. Stoney Pryor was named as the Coach of the Year.
RB Aydan Martinez made the 1st Team Offense. Meanwhile, the 1st Team Defense includes DL Korbin Johnson, DB Harrison Robinson, DB A.J. Tisdell, and DB Tony Hamilton. WR Jackson Verdugo made the 2nd Team Offense.
