CUBETTES DEFEAT MAGNOLIA WEST 52-49 ON SENIORS NIGHT

The Brenham Cubettes stayed in the hunt for the final playoff spot in District 21-5A with a 52-49 win on Seniors Night at the Brenham High School Gym.

Prior to the game, the seniors on the team were recognized: Ka'Mya Stringfellow, Nicole Tarver, Arianah Lewis, Jasmine Lowery, and Taniyah Walker.

They were playing their final home game in a Cubette uniform.

Brenham jumped out to an early 12-9 lead in the first quarter.

Magnolia West dominated the second quarter 21-11, and took a 30-23 lead into the locker room at half time.

In the third quarter, it was the Cubettes that took command as they outscored the Lady Mustangs 10-3 to tie the game 33-33.

Brenham then won the fourth quarter 19-16 to get the victory.

Ka'Mya Stringfellow led the Cubettes with 13 points. Arianah Lewis added 11 points.

The Cubettes wrap up the regular season on Tuesday at College Station High School at 6:30pm.
