2023 SPRING OPEN COLLECTION DAYS IN BRENHAM

  

The BVR Collection and Transfer Station is getting ready to host the annual Spring Open Collection Days.

The Spring Open Collection Days will be held for City of Brenham residents only from Thursday, March 2, to Saturday, March 4, and for Washington County residents only from Thursday, March 9, to Saturday, March 11.

The BVR Collection and Transfer Station is located at 2009 Old Chappell Hill Road.

On Thursday and Friday, the collection times are from 8am-5pm.  On Saturday, the collection times are from 8am-12:30pm.

Anyone bringing items for disposal to the facility must have an I.D. and provide proof of residence.

Commercial customers are not allowed to participate in the Spring Open Collection Days.

Items being accepted include: household debris, appliances, yard debris, demolition debris, furniture, auto batteries, scrap metal, and construction materials.

Disposal charges for the first 500 pounds of debris, or material per household will be waived.  Any debris, or material in excess of 500 pounds will be charged at the full rate.

Also, according to the City of Brenham website:

Tires will be accepted at the normal rate.

Propane tanks or hazardous materials of any kind will not be allowed.

Loads that contain dirt, cement, and or bricks will be rejected.

Appliances with coolant will be assessed a $20 removal fee prior to drop-off.

  1. I have old clothes line posts that have been leaning on a fence for over 4 years from a previous owner. Is there any way you could come pick up? I don’t have a truck.
