BRENHAM POLICE ARREST ONE ON DWI CHARGES

Brenham Police arrested one on DWI charges Monday.

Brenham Police report that late Monday at 11:40, Officers responded to the area of 2700 Woodridge Blvd in reference to a reckless driver. A concerned citizen reported seeing a vehicle traveling at a high rate of speed and without headlamps on. Responding officers observed the vehicle traveling through the intersection of South Chappell Hill and Highway 290 East at which time the vehicle disregarded the red light. Officers were able to make contact with the driver in the parking lot of a business located in the 200 block of Highway 290 East. The driver exhibited signs of being intoxicated and the Standardized Field Sobriety Test was administered. The driver, Austin James Hubbard, 22 of Liberty Hill, Texas, was subsequently placed under arrest for Driving While Intoxicated.

    Both may possibly have saved the life of an innocent driver.
