MORE JUNETEENTH ACTIVITIES THIS WEEK; PARADE, JUBILEE CELEBRATION SATURDAY

  

Juneteenth activities continue in Washington County leading up to this weekend’s celebration.

The Washington County Juneteenth Association will host a Family Day at the Park today (Tuesday) at 5 p.m. at Jackson Street Park in Brenham.  There will be children’s activities, Bingo and a wellness walk.

Later this week, a Jubilee Kickoff will bring crowds to Fireman’s Park in Brenham on Friday from 6 to 10 p.m.  The Brown Sugar Band will provide entertainment, and there will be a fish fry with tickets sold for $15 each.

Saturday’s festivities include the opening ceremonies on the courthouse square and the parade through downtown Brenham at 10:30 a.m.  KWHI will have a live broadcast of the parade.

Afterwards, the Jubilee celebration will continue at Fireman’s Park, with more activities throughout the day.
