JUNETEENTH ACTIVITES CONTINUE THIS WEEKEND

  

The Juneteenth Celebration in Washington County continues with big events this weekend.

The Jubilee Kickoff is expected to bring big crowds to Fireman’s Park in Brenham tonight (Friday) from 6-10pm.

The theme for the evening is “Coolin’ in the Park” and it will feature a performance by the Brown Sugar Band. 

There will also be a Fish Fry with tickets being sold for $15 a plate.

The festivities continue tomorrow (Saturday) morning with the opening ceremonies on the Washington County Courthouse Square beginning at 9:30am.

That will be followed by the annual Juneteenth Parade through downtown Brenham at 10:30am. KWHI is going to have live coverage of the parade beginning at 10:25am on 1280AM, 101.7FM, KWHI.com, and it will also be livestreamed on our KWHI Facebook Page.
