BRENHAM MAN ARRSTED SATURDAY

  

A Brenham man was arrested Saturday after a short chase.

Brenham Police report that Saturday afternoon at 1:20, Officer Ashley Rodriguez attempted to initiate a traffic stop on a vehicle on South Chappell Hill Street at the intersection of Pecan Street.  A brief pursuit ensued and the driver of the vehicle wrecked at the intersection of Limit Street and Spring Street.  The driver, identified as Kerrence Lakeith McDonald, 37 of Brenham, then fled on foot and resisted arrest when apprehended. During a vehicle inventorying, officers located suspected cocaine on the driver’s seat and floorboard. McDonald was charged with Evading Arrest or Detention with a Vehicle, Possession of Controlled Substance, Tampering with or Fabricating Physical Evidence, and Resisting Arrest – Search or Transport.
