MAN ARRESTED FOR STEALING TRUCK AND TRAILER

  

Brenham Police arrested a man for allegedly stealing a truck and trailer from the Houston area Friday.

Brenham Police report that Friday afternoon at 12:05 Officers responded to Highway 290 East in reference to a Stolen Trailer believed to be traveling West bound on Highway 290 towards Brenham. Officers located the trailer an initiated a traffic stop in the 1500 block of West Main Street. Initial investigation revealed the Travel Trailer and the vehicle used to tow it were both stolen from the Houston area.  A fictitious temporary tag was placed on the vehicle in an effort to conceal its identity. The driver, Eric Rios, 28 of Humble, was taken into custody for Unauthorized Use of a Motor Vehicle, Theft of between $30,000 and $150,000, and Wrong, Fictitious, Altered, or Obscured Plate.
