GRIMES CO. NOW UNDER BURN BAN
A burn ban is in effect for Washington County and now every surrounding county.
On Friday, Grimes County became the last in the immediate area to put a burn ban in place.
Grimes County’s ban on outdoor burning in unincorporated areas will remain for 90 days unless ended earlier by the county judge or commissioners court.
At least 150 of the state’s 254 counties are under a burn ban, according to the Texas A&M Forest Service.
