TWO PEOPLE ARRESTED FRIDAY

  

Two people were arrested in separate incidents Friday after traffic stops.

Brenham Police report that Friday night at 10:45, Officers Lauren Vieceli and Grayson Marburger conducted a traffic stop at the 1700 block of South Day Street. Marijuana and a handgun were located in the vehicle during a search. Additionally, the driver, Deionta Lee Stegent, 26 of Hockley, was discovered to have an active warrant out of the City of Brenham Municipal Court for Failure to Control Speed.  Stegent was placed under arrest for Possession of Marijuana less than 2 oz, Unlawful Carrying of a Weapon, and for the outstanding warrant.  

Then Friday night at 11:25, Officer Ashley Rodriguez conducted a traffic stop at the 600 block of East Bluebell Road for a vehicle traffic violation. The driver of the vehicle was identified as Eric Colvin, 25 of Brenham. Colvin was found to be intoxicated and Standardized Field Sobriety Tests were administered. Colvin was placed under arrest for DWI, 2nd Offense and transported to the Washington County Jail.
