WASHINGTON CO. COMMISSIONERS TO PROPOSE TAX RATE

  

Washington County Commissioners will propose a property tax rate for the next fiscal year at their meeting on Tuesday.

The past adopted rate was $0.3860 per $100 valuation, consisting of $0.2956 for maintenance and operations, $0.0826 for road and bridge, and $0.0078 for debt service.

Also on Tuesday, the court will consider selecting a landscape architecture service provider to complete project implementation for the American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA) funding administered by the U.S. Department of the Treasury or other federal or state agency.  The provider will be selected to deliver application and project-related professional landscape architecture services for ARPA programs.

Other items will include potential approval of an APCO IntelliComm software implementation proposal for the E-911 department; renewal of an agreement between the sheriff’s office and Trinity Services Group, Inc. for inmate meals; presentation of the IT department’s quarterly report; and the acceptance of donations from Brenham Veterinary Hospital, Collier Construction, Collier Farms and Thrivent Financial for the Washington County Expo.

Commissioners will meet Tuesday at 9 a.m. at the Washington County Courthouse.
