TWO CALLS WEDNESDAY FOR BRENHAM FIRE DEPT.
The Brenham Fire Department was dispatched to two calls on Wednesday.
Shortly before 1:30 p.m., the department was called to H-E-B at 2508 South Day Street for an alarm sounding. When units arrived, they found a contractor had hit a sprinkler head, causing water to be released. They helped employees reset the alarm, and an alarm company was called to replace the sprinkler head on the system.
Just before 8:30 p.m., firefighters responded to the 7800 block of Highway 290 East for a report of a transportation incident with entrapment. The Chappell Hill Volunteer Fire Department made it to the scene and found a single-vehicle rollover. They advised the patient was out and walking around the vehicle, and no fluids were leaking. Brenham units returned to service.
