WASHINGTON CO. COMMISSIONERS TO HEAR REPORTS
A series of reports will lead Tuesday’s business for Washington County Commissioners.
Among the items to consider are quarterly updates from Brenham | Washington County Economic Development, EMS and Human Resources, as well as a presentation by the Texas Extension Education Association.
In action items, commissioners will take up the 2024 holiday schedule for county employees. They will also vote on the job description and title for the Public Affairs Director position approved in the 2024 budget.
There will also be the reading of a proclamation declaring the month of November as Operation Green Light in Washington County. The program, which is led by the National Association of Counties and the National Association of County Veteran Service Officers, raises awareness about the challenges faced by veterans and the resources available for them.
At the end of the meeting, the court will go into executive session to discuss the purchase, exchange, lease or value of real property. Any action will be taken when it reconvenes in open session.
In other business, commissioners will:
- Act upon requesting the county auditor to complete an audit of the 21st Judicial District Attorney’s asset seizure and forfeiture accounts.
- Consider approving the bond for Darius Smith with the Precinct 3 Constable’s Office.
Commissioners will meet Tuesday at 9 a.m. at the Washington County Courthouse.
