FOUR PEOPLE ARRESTED SATURDAY

  

Four people were arrested Saturday by Brenham Police.

They report that early Saturday morning at 2:45, Officers responded to the 800 block of Highway 290 East for a complaint of a vehicle driving recklessly. Officers observed the vehicle unable to maintain its lane and conducted a traffic stop. The driver, Johnnie Lee Washington III, 51 of Navasota, was found to be operating a motor vehicle while intoxicated and possessed a handgun in the vehicle. He was placed under arrest for Driving While Intoxicated 3RD or more, and Unlawful Carrying of a Weapon and booked at the Washington County Jail.

Then Saturday morning at 6:15, Officers responded to 1200 block old Independence Road in reference to a wanted person. Gaven Moffett, 18 out of Brenham, showed to have an active warrant for Theft of between $100 and $750. Moffett was booked into the Washington County jail.

Then Saturday morning at 7:45, Officer Lauren Vieceli conducted a traffic stop at the 2900 block of Highway 290 East. The driver, Justin Earl Hickman, 36 of Brenham, was discovered to be operating a motor vehicle during a period his license was expired and not eligible for renewal. Hickman was placed into custody for Driving While License Invalid Enhanced, and transported to the Washington County Jail.  

Then Saturday night at 8:20, Officers were dispatched to a suspicious vehicle call in the 1300 block of Garrett St. Investigation revealed LaDarriel Maxie, 38 of Brenham, was in possession of narcotics. Maxie was placed into custody and transported to the Washington County Jail and booked on Possession of Marijuana less than 2 oz.
