BURLESON COUNTY “SHOP WITH A COP”

  

Sheriff Gene Hermes and members of the Burleson County Sheriff’s Office had the chance to connect with local youth by taking them Christmas shopping.

The Fourth Annual “Shop with a Cop” program was held on Thursday at the Walmart in Caldwell.

Deputies took the kids on a shopping trip to purchase gifts for their families and even a few for themselves.

Texas Rangers and Texas Park Police also assisted the young people with their gift searches.

The gifts were paid for through donations made by the community and the Burleson County Sheriff’s Reserve Deputy Association.

After their trip to Walmart, the youth and the deputies made a trip to the Caldwell Fire Department for a gift-wrapping party.

In addition to getting help with wrapping their gifts, the kids got to hear stories, and enjoy pizza, soda, and cookies.
