FOUR CALLS BETWEEN SATURDAY, EARLY MONDAY FOR BRENHAM FIRE DEPT.

The Brenham Fire Department responded to four calls between Saturday afternoon and early this (Monday) morning.

At 3:45 p.m. Saturday, the department was dispatched to a home in the 300 block of East Lubbock Street for a report of a gas leak.  BFD members arrived on location with the City of Brenham Gas Department and found a small gas leak.  The gas department released firefighters from the scene.

Just past 9:30 p.m., units were called out to the 5400 block of FM 332 for a two-vehicle accident.  Firefighters pulled the doors open and helped EMS with two patients.  Any injuries are unknown.  The Salem Volunteer Fire Department stayed on location until the roadway was back open.

At 3:45 p.m. Sunday, personnel responded to the 2600 block of Highway 36 South for a transportation incident.  While firefighters were enroute, dispatch advised there were no injuries and both vehicles were off the roadway, so units returned to service.

Shortly after 5 a.m. today, the department went out to Kruse Village, 1700 East Stone Street, for an alarm sounding.  Units found nothing showing from the exterior of the building upon their arrival, but later found a bad smoke detector.  They reset the alarm and returned to the station.
