TWO CALLS WEDNESDAY FOR BRENHAM FIRE DEPT.

  

The Brenham Fire Department responded to two minor calls on Wednesday.

Shortly before 1 p.m., the department went out to the 800 block of College Avenue for a fire alarm.  Firefighters made location and found that the alarm system was malfunctioning.  Personnel advised those on scene to speak with maintenance about the issue before returning to service.

Approaching 7 p.m., units were dispatched to a fire investigation in the 3000 block of FM 2935.  However, they were cancelled enroute by the Gay Hill Volunteer Fire Department, who stated it was a controlled burn.
