SEABROOK MAN ARRESTED WEDNESDAY

A Seabrook man was arrested Wednesday on multiple charges. Brenham Police report that Wednesday morning at 10:05, Officers responded to the 2600 block of Highway 290 West in reference to a vehicle activating a notification to Law Enforcement from a license plate reader. The notification was for a wanted person driving a 2023 Hyundai Kona. Officers located the vehicle and conducted a traffic stop. The driver, identified as Derrick Jarrett Schutz, 44 of Seabrook, was discovered to have an active warrant for Aggravated Assault with a Deadly Weapon. Marijuana and Vape Pens containing high potency THC were located in the vehicle. Schutz was taken into custody for Possession of a Controlled Substance and Possession of Marijuana, less than 2 oz. along with the active warrant issued out of Burnet County.
Thanks to this man’s irresponsible behavior, now, those of us who ARE responsible THC vapers will suffer worse consequences for having them. He is a perfect example of taking advantage of what others NEED to survive, w/o pain, CANCER, PTSD, ADHD, etc..and has now made passing a law, regarding this necessity, a negative point.
