FAYETTE COUNTY REPUBLICAN PARTY SCHEDULES FORUMS

  

The Fayette County Republican Party has scheduled a series of candidate forums  for those running in contested elections for the March 5th primary.

Contested races include County Attorney, the Constables in Precincts 2, 3, and 4, Party Chairman, State Representative District 85, and U.S. Representative District 10.

The first forum is Sunday, January 28, 1-4pm at Schulenburg Knights of Columbus Hall.  It will feature the candidates for County Attorney, Precinct 3 Constable, Precinct 4 Constable, and County Chairman.

The second forum is Sunday, February 4, 1-4pm Ellinger Chamber of Commerce Hall. Candidates scheduled to appear are for County Attorney, Precinct 2 Constable, and County Chairman.

For the third forum, it will be held at the Texas Ag Life Building in La Grange on Saturday, February 17, from 1-5pm.  It will feature the candidates for County Attorney, County Chairman, State Representative District 85, and U.S. Representative District 10.

For County Attorney, James Herbich and Mark Elvig are seeking the position held by Peggy Supak, who announced in December that she will not be running for another term.

For Precinct Two Constable, Incumbent Roger Wunderlich is opposed by Kenneth King.

For Precinct Three Constable, Incumbent Robert Chambers is running against Darrell Maze.

For Precinct Four Constable, Incumbent Jason Strickland is going against Tammy McCleney.

For Republic Party County Chairman, Incumbent Deborah Frank is being challenged by Michael Schlabach.
