BRENHAM CUBETTES HOST THREE TEAM SOFTBALL SCRIMMAGE

The Brenham Cubette Softball Team continues to get ready for the upcoming season.

On Tuesday, they hosted a three team scrimmage that included games against the La Grange Lady Leopards and the Bellville Brahmanettes at Alumni Field in Brenham.

Although they didn't keep score since they were scrimmages, Head Coach Katie Roberts told KWHI that she felt like the scrimmages went well.

Roberts said the Cubettes hit the ball hard. She added that she would still like to see them improve defensively, but overall they are looking better.

Because of the rain in the forecast for Saturday, the Cubettes have moved up their next scrimmages to Friday.

The JV will be playing at 4:15pm and 5:45pm at Klein High School, while the Varsity will be playing at 4pm and 5:30pm at Bridgeland High School.

The Cubettes will open the regular season on Tuesday, February 13, at 6pm at Alumni Field. KWHI will have live coverage beginning with the pregame at 5:35pm.
