TWO PEOPLE ARRESTED SATURDAY
Two people were arrested Saturday by the Brenham Police Department.
They report that Saturday morning at 11:20, responded to the 200 block of Lounge Road in reference to a lapsed theft. The victim reported unknown persons stole a ring from her vehicle between 5:45 p.m. and 7:45 p.m. on Thursday, February 1st. Case is under investigation by the Criminal Investigation Division. No other vehicle burglaries have been reported in the area.
Then Saturday evening at 7:40, Officer Ashley Rodriguez conducted a traffic stop at the intersection of West Bluebell Road and Rink Street. Marijuana was found during a probable cause search. The driver, Ciara Margarette Webb, 36 of San Antonio, was placed under arrest for the Possession of Marijuana less than 2 oz. and transported to the Washington County Jail.
Then Saturday night at 10:30, Officer Bryan Morong responded to the area of Old Chappell Hill Road and Lott Lane in reference to a welfare concern. A concerned citizen reported a male subject was walking in the roadway with his hands in the air and spinning circles. Investigation revealed Gregory Britton, 61 of Brenham, was wanted for Resist Arrest, Search, or Seizure and Driving While License Invalid with a Previous Conviction. Britton was placed into custody for his two warrants and transported to the Washington County Jail.
