BVR ANNOUNCES SPRING 2024 OPEN COLLECTION DAYS

  

The BVR Collection and Transfer Station has announced their 2024 Spring Open Collection Days.

The first set of Open Collection Days will be March 7-9, and that is for City of Brenham Residents Only. 

The second set will be March 14-16, and that is for Washington County Residents Only.

No commercial customers are allowed.

The BVR Collection and Transfer Station is located at 2009 Old Chappell Hill Road.  Their hours during Open Collection Days are 8am-5pm on Thursday and Fridays, and 8am-12:30pm on Saturdays.

Open Collection is for non-hazardous materials only.  Disposal charges are waived for the first 500 lbs. of debris/material per household. Any debris or material over the 500 lbs. limit will be charged the full rate in effect at the time of the event.

Items being accepted during Open Collection Days include: household debris, yard debris, furniture, scrap metal, appliances, demolition debris, auto batteries, and construction materials. 

BVR added that tires will be accepted at the normal rate.

No propane tanks or hazardous materials such as oil, gas, paint, or various hazardous liquids will be accepted.

Loads that contain dirt, cement, and/or bricks will be rejected. Appliances with coolant will be assessed a removal fee of $20 prior to drop
