CUBS SPLIT GAMES AT CCISD TOURNAMENT
The Brenham Cubs picked up both a win and a loss on opening day at the Clear Creek ISD Tournament.
In the first game of the day, the Cubs beat Clear Brook 5-2. Brenham rallied with two runs in the fifth and two runs in the sixth to come back and win the game.
Brady Boenker went the distance to get the win. Luke Hardy had a double, a homer, and two RBIs. Cannon Credeur added a solo home run. Tanner Reese added an RBI single as well.

Texas City jumped on starter Brett Campbell for six runs in the first inning. Preston Lee came in and shut the Stingarees down for five innings. Landry Mendoza pitched a scoreless sixth.
The Cubs cut the lead in half with three runs in the top of the seventh to make it 6-3. Barrett Kohring had an RBI double, and Grady Gee had a two run-single.

The tournament continues this (Friday) afternoon at Clear Springs High School. The Cubs will play Clear Springs at 1pm, followed by LaPorte at 3:30pm.
