THREE CALLS SUNDAY FOR BRENHAM FIRE DEPT.
The Brenham Fire Department was called out three times on Sunday.
Just before 10:45 a.m., the department responded to a business in the 500 block of Highway 290 West, for a report of a gas leak inside the building. Firefighters and the City of Brenham Gas Department arrived to find a gas stove leaking gas. The gas department red tagged the stove to indicate a possible safety concern with the appliance. All firefighters returned to service.
Shortly after 3:30 p.m., units were dispatched to a home in the 1300 block of West Jefferson Street for a report of a gas odor inside the house. BFD members and the gas department arrived on location but found no reading on the detector.
Around the same time, firefighters were called to a transportation incident in the 2200 block of Glenda Boulevard. They made location to find a two-vehicle accident with no injuries or fluids leaking. Units cleared the scene and returned to the station.
