TWO ARRESTED IN JOHN DEERE TRACTOR THEFT

  

On March 18, 2015, Washington County Sheriff’s Office received a report of a stolen 5510 John Deere tractor equipped with a frontend loader from Harrisburg road near Highway 290, according to Washington County Sheriff Otto Hanak

During the course of the investigation, Washington County Sheriff’s Investigators determined that the suspects involved were responsible for the theft of at least four tractors from Washington, Austin and Colorado Counties.

Through a cooperative investigation involving these agencies, four tractors have been recovered to date resulting in the recovery of $80,000.00 in equipment.

Arrested, charged, and booked into the Washington County jail for theft offenses were 22 year old Bellville resident Joseph Cummings and 45 year old Brookshire resident Timmothy Clark. Cummings posted bond and has been released with Clark remaining in the Washington County jail.
