CIVIL CONSTRUCTION FOR SUBDIVISIONS LEADS AUGUST BUILDING PERMITS
The City of Brenham issued $9,297,470 in building permits for the month of August.
Over half of that total came from two permits. The city issued a $3,893,000 permit to Ranier & Son for civil construction for the Vintage Farms subdivision, Phase 6 and 7, contracted to Texas KB Utilities. Another permit worth $1,583,000 was issued to Clayton Collier for the first phase of civil construction for the Wilkins Valley subdivision, contracted to Collier Construction.
The third-largest permit of the month went to Valmont Industries for $1,170,000 for a parking lot addition with landscaping.
Ten new homes were permitted in August for $1,591,520. So far this year, 88 new homes have been permitted for $14,227,708.
The city’s 36 permits for $9,297,470 more than double the $4,038,353 on 34 permits from August 2023.
To date in 2024, the city has issued 225 permits worth $35,584,638. Through this time last year, 264 permits had been issued for $27,933,888.
