TWO MEN ARRESTED IN CONNECTION WITH TRUCK THEFTS
Two men were arrested early this (Friday) morning in connection with a pair of truck thefts that occurred in Austin County.
Austin County Sheriff’s Deputies observed two high-value pick-up trucks believed to have been stolen from Hennessey Motors west of Sealy.
After a short pursuit, one of the vehicles was stopped by a deputy and the driver, Romy Garcia-Guzman, was immediately taken into custody. The truck he was driving was confirmed to be one of the ones stolen from Hennessey.
Additionally, the driver of the get-away vehicle seen in the area, Oleviys Perez-Cordero was arrested near the scene by the Sealy Police Department.
According to the Sheriff’s Office, both suspects will be charged in Austin County for auto theft.
At the same time, another suspect in a stolen Hennessey truck was chased from Austin County into the Mission Bend area of Fort Bend County where he eventually crashed the truck and was apprehended.
That suspect will be charged in Fort Bend County.
The Criminal Investigations Division of the Austin County Sheriff’s Office is investigating previous truck thefts from Hennessey. However, it is unknown at this time if the thefts are related.
My first question is, how did these individuals arrive in the US of A?
Perhaps they were born here and are legal? I didn’t see anything in this article to suggest they’re illegal. Bad people come from everywhere.
