BURLESON, BRAZOS, COLORADO, AUSTIN COUNTIES ISSUE BURN BANS
Burn bans have begun to pop up in the area.
As of Monday, the counties of Burleson, Colorado and Austin have enacted burn bans. Brazos County put a ban into effect today (Tuesday).
The bans prohibit outdoor burning in unincorporated areas of the county, with infractions punishable by a fine of up to $500.
According to the Texas A&M Forest Service, 108 counties in Texas are under a burn ban.
