The Blinn College men's soccer team played to a thrilling 2-2 draw with 15th-ranked Ranger College on Saturday at Rankin Field in Brenham, Texas.

The Buccaneers (8-4-3) rallied out of a 1-0 halftime deficit thanks to a pair of goals from forward Ethan Lindo.

Lindo, a freshman from Surrey, England, scored his 10th and 11th goals of the season, making him just the second freshman in program history to tally double-digit goals. Former Buccaneer David Garcia, the program's all-time scorer, achieved the feat with 16 goals in 2022.

Lindo tied the match in the 51st minute off a pair of assists from freshman defenders Gabriel Ordonez and Callum Hall. In the 71st minute, Lindo put his team on top when he sent a shot to the back corner of the Rangers' net. Midfielders Cristian Estrada (freshman) and Mathew Williams (sophomore) assisted on the play.

Ranger pulled even with a tally in the 84th minute.

Blinn out-shot the Rangers 13-8, while each time had five shots on goal.

"The team was in control for long periods of the game today against a team ranked 15th in the country, so this is a very disappointing result because we let a big win slip through our hands," Bucs head coach Michael McBride said. "It almost feels like a loss. However, as the season has progressed, this young team has been soaking up experience and I believe we are inching closer to success with each game."

Freshman goalkeeper Connor Vela made three saves for Blinn.

Up next, the Bucs face another tough test in the form of a Region XIV road trip to No. 11 Angelina College scheduled for 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday, Oct. 8, in Lufkin, Texas.
