BRENHAM WOMAN ARRESTED, CHARGED WITH ASSAULT

A Brenham woman was arrested Saturday, charged with assault.
Brenham Police report that early Saturday morning at 1:40, Officer Stephen Mosley responded to the 600 block of East Academy Street in reference to a disturbance. Investigation revealed that Shakala Hunter, 27 of Brenham, assaulted a family member and had an active warrant. Hunter was taken into custody and transported to the Washington County Jail, where she was booked in.
