EARLY VOTING TALLY APPROACHES 7,500 AFTER FIVE DAYS

  

Early voting in Washington County continues at a brisk pace and is far exceeding first-week totals from previous elections.

According to Elections Administrator Carol Jackson, Friday saw 1,475 early voters, up from 1,400 on Thursday.

Five days of early voting has brought in 7,463 people.  Numbers provided by Jackson show that the first five days drew 4,806 early voters in the 2022 gubernatorial election, 3,897 in the 2020 presidential election and 5,095 in the presidential election of 2016.

Voters can come to the Washington County Courthouse Annex today (Saturday) from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. and tomorrow (Sunday) from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.  Hours of 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. will be available next Monday through Friday, October 28th through November 1st.

Election Day is Tuesday, November 5th
