BRENHAM MAN ARRESTED ON WARRANTS

  

A Brenham man was arrested Wednesday on warrants.

Brenham Police report that Wednesday evening at 8:35, Officers responded to the 200 block of Highway 290 West for a report of an active Kidnapping.  Two small children did not want to get into their vehicle, so they were running around the parking lot yelling they were going to be kidnapped, which is what prompted a passerby to call in a kidnapping.  Investigation revealed the children were only playing.  The driver of the vehicle was identified and found to have four active warrants.  Dionte D Shaun Mathis, 24 of Brenham, was placed into custody and transported to the Washington County Jail.
