THREE CALLS TUESDAY FOR BRENHAM FIRE DEPT.
The Brenham Fire Department had three calls on Tuesday.
Just past 8:15 a.m., the department received a report of a structure fire at a home in the 1200 block of West Jefferson Street. Firefighters arrived on scene to find nothing showing from the exterior of the home, but upon speaking with the homeowner, he advised he smelled something burning inside the home. Ultimately, they were unable to find anything inside, so they returned to service.
At 4:15 p.m., units were dispatched to FM 2502 and Greenvine Road for a transportation incident with entrapment. Upon arrival, they found a single-vehicle accident off of the roadway with the patient out of the vehicle and no fluids leaking. All units returned to service.
Shortly before 5:45 p.m., BFD members were called out to South Jackson Street and West Third Street for a report of a caller hearing a loud boom. They drove through the area and could not find anything, so the department cleared the call.
