THREE CALLS SUNDAY FOR BRENHAM FIRE DEPT.
The Brenham Fire Department responded to three calls on Sunday.
Around 9:45 a.m., firefighters were dispatched to a home in the 3100 block of Rolling Valley Lane for a report of carbon monoxide. They arrived and were advised by a resident that the detector had a bad battery and would be replaced. The department cleared the call.
Approaching 12:45 p.m., units were called to the 2500 block of South Day Street for a crash with no entrapment. At the scene, they found a minor two-vehicle accident and remained on location for traffic control until both vehicles were removed from the roadway.
Just past 2:15 p.m., the Brenham department responded for mutual aid with the Gay Hill Volunteer Fire Department for a grass fire in the 3000 block of Possum Trot Street. They arrived to find a tree on fire. The fire was extinguished, and all units returned to service.
