TWO CALLS TUESDAY FOR BRENHAM FIRE DEPT.

The Brenham Fire Department was called out twice on Tuesday.

The first call came shortly before 7 a.m., when units were dispatched to a fire alarm at Kruse Village, 1700 East Stone Street.  They made location and found the alarm went off because of someone cooking, so they returned to service.

Around 10 a.m., firefighters and the City of Brenham Gas Department responded to a gas odor at a home in the 500 block of Alma Street.  After checking the area for a leak or smell, the gas department released the fire department from the scene.
