THREE CALLS THURSDAY FOR BRENHAM FIRE DEPT.

The Brenham Fire Department was called out three times on Thursday.

Around 9:15 a.m., firefighters responded to the 300 block of Scenic Drive for a report of a transportation incident.  They arrived to find a two-vehicle accident with no injuries.  Firefighters cleaned the roadway from debris before returning to service.

Approaching 2:15 p.m., personnel were dispatched to a home in the 1700 block of South Park Street for a possible structure fire.  Nothing was showing from the exterior of the building, but firefighters found light smoke inside.  They found that the A/C was the cause of the smoke, so they advised the homeowner to have an A/C repair company come out and check the unit.

Shortly before 6 p.m., the fire department and City of Brenham Gas Department went out to a home in the 1800 block of South Chappell Hill Street for a gas leak.  They arrived on location to find a small leak around the meter.  The gas department repaired the leak, and the fire department returned to the station.
