TOMATO & PEPPER PLANT SALE ACCEPTING ORDERS
Order forms are now being taken for the AgriLife Extension Service’s annual Spring Tomato and Pepper Plant Sale in Washington County.
Fourteen varieties of small, medium and large tomatoes are for sale, along with five different types of peppers, three varieties of jalapeño peppers, two types of squash, eggplant, four types of herbs, and three varieties of cucumbers.
Plants can be purchased for $2.50 per four-pack. Orders must be paid for in full when they are placed.
Sale proceeds benefit the AgriLife Extension Horticulture Committee’s Scholarship Program, which provides scholarships to local graduating seniors who are pursuing a degree in agriculture.
Order forms can be found at https://washington.agrilife.org/plantsale and at the Washington County Extension Office in Brenham. Orders must be submitted by March 4th.
Plants can be picked up on March 10th from 10 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. at the Washington County Expo Commercial Exhibits Building.
