BRENHAM BOWLING TEAM CLINCH TRIPS TO REGIONALS

Both Brenham bowling teams swept Burton Sunday at Rose Bowl Lanes.  For the boys, Mason Wolf, Reid Janner, Wyatt Janner, Thomas Loesch and Lane Janner all won their matches.  But the game of the day belonged to Landon Nugent (Sr.) who rolled a 210 and moved into the final qualification position for the Regional tournament in Tomball.

For the girls, Colleen Cole (So.) had her best outing of the year with games of 179 and 184.  Laina Nugent (So.) continued her strong play with games of 157 and 154.  Reece Johnson (Sr.) had her best game of the year with a 159.  Peyton Barker and Savannah Wolf also won their matches.  The Cubettes also continued their strong team play with games of 141, 144, and 118.  Over the last two weeks Brenham has averaged 145 in the Baker games.

Both the Brenham boys and girls team are preparing for the Region VII tournament on March 2nd in Tomball where Brenham will battle teams from Houston NW, Montgomery North, and Cy Fair for the right to go to State.

Next Sunday marks the last regular season bout between Brenham and Burton.  Going into the last match only one pin separates Nugent and Cole for the highest average amongst the girls.  Colleen has a 143 average and Laina has a 142.  Equally on the boy’s side, Reid Janner and Mason Wolf will battle it out for the top spot with Mason holding a 175 average and Reid a 174. 

The match next Sunday starts at 4:30 at Rose Bowl Lanes.
