Brenham Cubette Golf (Kari Prihoda)

While the weather conditions may not have been ideal, the Brenham Cubette Golf Team braved the elements and came away with a third place finish at the Waller Girls Spring Invitational.

The tournament was held at the Sand Hill Farm Golf Course in Waller. Due to the weather, golfers were not able to tee off until 10:30am. Brenham was the only 5A team in the tournament. The rest were all 6A schools.

Katy Jordan finished in first place, Waller was second, and Brenham was tied with Katy Jordan's second team for third place. Brenham and the Jordan second team, who posted team scores of 413 each, were only one stroke behind Waller for second place, who had a team score of 412.

Individually for the Cubettes, Sofia Workman (Jr.) and Raylea Kunkel (Fr.) finished tied for seventh after they each shot a 90. Caroline Sawyer (Fr.) finished 16th overall with a 108. Addison Siemsglusz (Fr.) was 27th overall with a 125.

The next scheduled meet for the Cubettes is March 18th at the Montgomery Tournament, which is being held at the Margaritaville Golf Course.
